A New Start On Life

I may not have all the answers but I sure can help

Welcome to A New Start On Life

I started this website as a means to help other recovering alcoholics as well as myself get through the struggles of over coming the addiction.

It was not an easy task and still is difficult at times.

There are no real answers on how to curb your addiction as everyone is different.

One thing is for sure is, it is possible.

It takes a power greater than yourself to over come this…

Whether it is through Religion, Spirituality, Support or if you are just going at it alone… You have to dig deep within yourself and find the way that works best for you. Nobody can do this for you.

My name is Chris Budesheim and I am a recovering alcoholic

I have been sober now for over 4 years.

I live in Titusville, Florida 32796

When one attends an AA meeting there is one who sits at the front of the room and tells you who they are, how long they have been sober and that because of this makes them qualified to head the meeting.

Being over 3 years sober now, I have the qualification to give you some tips, advice or tools needed to over come an alcohol addiction and if you follow some of my advice then you too can do this.

I will tell you this, I am not a Doctor, Psychiatrist, or Psychologist. I am actually just an average ordinary man who has been in the Electrical trade now for over 20 years.

With this I can honestly say that I have seen all walks of life battle some type of addiction.

I have family that are alcoholics, friends and even co-workers and all have different problems, different lifestyles and yet the basic bottom line is this…We all have an addiction to over come.

It is not an easy road.

It is going to be hard!

But in the end…the results are wonderful!

And I will be there to help.

Whether you are one who prays or not, we have a prayer named the Serenity Prayer that just hits home and it is:

God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.

Who I am

I am a recovering alcoholic of a little over 4 years now. I work as a Union Electrician and live in sunny Florida. I started this blog to help recovering alcoholics battle their addiction while helping myself with my own addiction.

Where are you coming from?

Stories from the blog

Getting past it everyday

So, yeah… My last post may have had a few wondering if I was going to fall off or not, I can say delightfully that I have not touched the stuff! I am getting past it everyday.

The one I lost effecting my sobriety

Hey everyone. Yeah it’s been a while since I posted anything here on my blog but, I wanted to share what’s been going on with me lately.

After My Alcohol Addiction There Was Another Around The Corner

Yeah so, there it was after my alcohol addiction there was another around the corner peering its little beady eyes at me but, it is what got me past my alcohol addiction. It was unavoidable in a sense. It just could not be stopped! It was the one arch enemy when I was drinking my […]
